Auditability
Because every run is recorded with what moved, when, and by which job, FileAgent gives you an operational audit trail for file movement.

#An operational audit trail
Every run is recorded with status, time, duration, and per-file detail, retained according to your plan. That gives you an operational record of what moved where and when: prove a report was delivered, show when a feed stopped, or demonstrate that a migration completed.
#Who did what
Combined with per-user accounts — one account per person, never shared — logs help answer “who ran what” for reviews and incident timelines. Longer retention tiers and role-restricted access (Business Premium and above) support review workflows across departments.
#Practices that strengthen the trail
- Use named accounts, not shared logins.
- Set retention to match your review and record-keeping needs (custom on Enterprise).
- Restrict who can change jobs, credentials, and settings.
- Restrict access to log folders and any exported logs.
FileAgent provides an operational audit trail of file movement. It is not, by itself, a compliance certification — see Compliance-friendly practices.
