Schedules

Run jobs automatically on a recurring interval (all plans) or a precise calendar pattern (Pro and above) — specific days, dates, and times.

#Basic scheduling

Every plan can run jobs on a recurring interval — for example, every few minutes or hours. Enable the schedule on the job, and the scheduler runs it in the background. The job list shows each enabled job's next run so you can confirm a schedule at a glance.

#Advanced calendar scheduling

On Pro plans and above, advanced scheduling gives precise calendar control:

  • Weekly — specific days of the week, optionally every N weeks (for example, weekdays at 02:00).
  • Monthly — specific day(s) of the month at a set time.
  • A specific time of day, and a start date for when the pattern begins.

This suits business calendars — month-end runs, weekday-only feeds, and off-hours batches.

#Time zone and host clock

Schedules fire in the FileAgent host's local time. Confirm the host's clock and time zone are correct so jobs run when you expect. If a job's next run is blank, the schedule isn't enabled or saved.

#Scheduling tips

  • Stagger heavy jobs so several don't start at the same minute.
  • Schedule around busy windows on your source and destination systems.
  • Remember the host must be on at the scheduled time — a sleeping host misses its window entirely.
